I can't believe how long it's taken me to get this post up.
I had a short conversation (in this little pictured coffee store in Jerusalem's old city) with a cool salesman named Ahed. He's an artist (see his site) and a Palestinian (his word). CSJ, of course, says there are no Palestinians but this was a very interesting moment for me.
I said I was putting together a site about travel to Israel. Ahed reminded me about the Palestinian Territories. I apologized, feeling like a total idiot. Attempting to have a conversation with CSJ confirmed my idiocy, which means I never got to talk it out.
I want to talk it out now. Am I close-minded to consider my site to be about Israel and not about Israel and the Palestinian Territories? How does it work exactly? What's right? What's fair?
